A Great Round Table on the Original Apple Macintosh Computer
Back in the early '80's, as computers were coming out, there was not a lot of available media advertising to promote these new cutting edge products. But, there was a show, I watched as a teenager, called Computer Chronicles, that was a round table of various computer engineers and such which explained the workings of new computers and technology with live demontrations on camera.
It was really great, as I was somewhat of a computer nerd, buying one of the first Apple II computers made. The show started in 1982 and ran through early 2000 and was syndicated throughout the country and internationally.
As the original Apple Macintosh came out in 1984, this show below is the episode that aired the Macintosh on camera. They also go into detail on one of the competing IBM machines.
The first 15 minutes or so is a great round table on the original Apple Macintosh computer, with the balance detailing the IBM computer.
This old show has a 20 second start up screen so you can fast forward to the start.
It's amazing how things have changed. The original Mac here was touted as having the highest quality graphics ever seen!
